I burned my finger with hot oil, how do i get rid of the pain?

 I burned my finger with hot oil and it really really hurts. i have been putting the finger in a cup of ice cold water. it has been over two hours! when i take my finger out of the water for a few seconds, it starts burning inside of my finger. when i try to put burn cream on the burn, it starts buring again. what do i do???

Believe it or not, but immediately when you burn your finger it really helps to catch the hanging part of your earlobe. This can simply buy you time of pain until you reach some oily liquid to put on the burned place. Olive oil, or simple butter helps a lot. Hope this helps.
