Can you have a normal pap and still have cervical cancer

+3 votes
I have always spotted between my periods very lightly since I was 18.im 29 now. Lately I have noticed more bleeding and light clotting just days after my period. I had an abnormal pap about 8 months ago and colposcopy done. I repeated the pap a few weeks ago and everything is normal and no HPV was detected.  I do have bacterial vaginitis. I haven't started taking the anibiotic yet. Is it possible to still have cervical cancer even with a clean pap and HPV test?

Under normal circumstances, a clean pap and HPV test means there is no cervical cancer detected at this time.
