Does this guy like me?

Question

So I've known this guy since I was 2 years old. We've been friends for like ever. We're both in the 8th grade, by the way. For the past 7 years I've had a HUGE crush on him :P. I've begun to notice lately that he's started talking to me more, and he would make it a point to sit next to me and talk to me. We are both in Sunday school, and we're both in the Confirmation class. The only thing the teacher does it plays videos, and the whole time we just make funny smirks between the two of us. I was really starting to think he liked me. Recently, on the game 25 Questions ( the Facebook game ) there was a questioned that said "DO you have a secret crush on - -?" The answer was yes, so I unlocked it and it was him. Problem is, he has a girlfriend?! He's been really flirting with me lately and staring at me a bit more. About a week and a half ago, my friend said that she thinks he has a crush on me. Last week his friend kept staring at him in a teasy way and my crush would blush a bit. I did have a retreat on Saturday that was 4 hours and I saw him there. We really hit it off and we would constantly make eye contact in flirty ways. But, yesterday when I saw him he didn't sit next to me or anything. HE DIDN'T EVEN SAY HI! We did both get to class a little late so there were no two seats next to eachother, the only seat was across the room where he sat, but usually if that did happen he would pull his seat up next to me or at least wave. He didn't acknowledge that I was there, and it totally confused me. Do you think he likes me, because he's sending such mixed signals?? I mean, really anything could have happened. These are my ideas on what happened.

He started flirting with me and started liking me, he then realized he had a girlfriend and his behavior could be a little innapropriate and decided to drop it.

Maybe he's single and just kept his status to taken, and he tried to play hard to get yesterday just to make me jealous.

He lost interest?

 

Please tell me what you think: Does he like me or not, or what's your take on this situation? Please no rude answers telling me to focus on school or to get a life! :) Thank you!

Well, your thoughts could be right. I know this might not be what you want to hear, but talk to him! If you guys have known each other for this long, he should be able to open up to you. Ask casual questions or ask questions jokingly such as "why didn't you say hi to me yesterday?? I missed you!" Remember, joking. And he might explain it to you. And if you've guy's have been hitting it off that much, but then he just suddenly stops, maybe he realizes that he's being to obvious, and he doesn't know if you like him. You know, he likes you, but he doesn't know if you like him, so he tries not to show it. Or maybe he does like you, but his girlfriend noticed all of this and told him that he's not allowed to do this. Just ask him things about his girlfriend and if you're ready to, tell him that you like him. Don't try and think of all the possibilities,  the answer. But make sure that you don't accuse him of things that you don't have proof for. I hope I find remake things worse. :)

It is clear there is a matter of loyalty and growing apart happening here. He has made a choice of who he sees the present and a future with. His childhood friend believes she should be asked if he can outgrow her. If you want him in your life, accept his right to grow away from you if he has shown that. You do not need a note. Actions say more than words can say. Be a friend and back off or lose him completely.
