what year did they stop making silver quarters?

i have three quarters, 2 from 1965 and one from 1967 are they made of silver? how do i find out?

The stage was set at the end of 1964 to eliminate silver from USA coinage. The coins after 1965 have a decrease in percentage of silver to approximately 40%. There is a website on mint coinage for further reading.

In 1965, a law (the Coinage Act of 1965) ended the use of silver in circulating U.S. dimes and quarters, due the rising price of silver.
