Contact the agency once a week by phone. State you will take weekends too if something comes up. You should have at least three agencies looking for you. If another applicant is in waiting room, find out where they filed an application and remember the name to call and ask if they have any openings. Be very nice to the receptionist. Say "thank you" if she takes the message you phoned. She's the gatekeeper.
