To remove melted wax from carpeting, first put a cube of ice in a waterproof plastic bag. Put that on the melted wax, make sure the wax in not staining the carpet.  Once the wax hardens, use an instrument with a metal flat edge to remove as much of the wax as possible.  Once that is done, put a cloth over the wax stain and iron over it. Use the warm setting.  Use a fresh area of that cloth and iron again.  Do this until the cloth can get out as much wax as possible.  Once that is done, use a carpet cleaning solution to remove the rest of the wax.
