too easy.

Ok, we know X equals 6.  Therefore Y equals 7 because Y is one place after X in the alphabet.  So 1 + 6 = 7.  Y=7

Now that we have the difficult part out of the way we can proceed.

9(7) + 6(6)(7)=30

97 + 667 = 30

NO!  It equals 764.

The answer is 764.  The person that said it equaled 30 is obviously a complete and utter imbicile.  They're probably a virgin too.  (Go back to high school brainiac!)

You're welcome.
