How do I become a DJ (Disk Jockey)?

Hi, I am 12 years old and it would be so much fun to be a DJ.  I just need to know the first steps to becoming one then I can mix and record songs of my own.  I want to do things like remixes and dubstep but...  I dont even know what equipment to use for things like that!!  It would be really nice to have some advice to get my "career" started!!   Thank you so much!

The first step for you would be to watch some tutorials on Youtube or other websites. Then I would download trial versions of popular DJ software such as DJay (Mac) or VirtualDJ (Windows/Mac) so you don't have to buy any expensive equipment until you really get the hang of it.  Good luck!
