You can reach out to a FREE HUD approved counselor by going to www.makinghomeaffordable.gov. They should be able to assist you with understanding the laws of your state. Oftentimes a local real estate agent can give you information on the foreclosure process. The mortgage holder has an obligation to try to collect as much as possible on the mortgage. They want to establish a dialogue with you and get things rolling as soon as possible. They may be able to evict you within 90 days. If you refuse to move and file counter claims and seek to contest their action you might be in adverse possession for a long time. but you will have to get some lawyer to represent you.
