In the ordinary home, ventilating uses more power than else other possibilities 16% of aggregate power utilized.  In hotter locales AC might be 60-70% of your middle of the year electric bill, as stated by Austin Energy. This can really require more than upping the temp 6 degrees. My comprehension is its more practical to abandon it on at a steady temperature constantly than to turn it off when you leave the house/room and play Judas on again when you return. The A/c need to work harder to chill the room off again once you've turned it off.
