what is good settlement to ask when you are asked how much to settle

Ideally, legal counsel has advised you of the monetary figure most cases as the one he is retained to pursue would render to not have a judgment entered by a court of law. Counsel would advise you when you should settle or if a court hearing is best.

That would depend on your specific circumstance. If you are permanently disabled. You should calculate future wages and increases you would have earned aswell as lost wages, pain and suffering , all cost you incurred due to your condition ect.
