You can try several otc herbal remedies. 5htp, passionflower, st. Johns wort, Sam-e. Passionflower is the one that has helped me the most. Please make sure you read up on each one carefully though, to make sure they won't interfere with anything else you're taking. Rhodilai (don't think I spelled that right) and ashwaganda are a few more herbs I just thought of. Exercising helps a lot and plenty of vitamin d. Sit in the sun a few times a dat to get some vitamin d. Most of these are fairly cheap except for the Sam-e. I hope these helps, I know how you feel.

Hello there,

As the mother of three now grown up sons I can say that it is a common feeling to be low at your age, your hormones play havoc with your thinking...Home life can be a very good place to start, by telling a parent or friend how you feel. and put your trust in what they observe....If you cannot get a window on your thoughts then a long standing herbal remedy that is available in most pharmacies is St, John's Wort...but take it with the advice of the pharmascist, as it is commonly known as a 'Dirty' drug, which means it interfers with any other medication you may take...although...I strongly suspect you really need some one to talk to, rather than meds...Pick a person with experience whom you trust.

hi...Shabby has given a great advice. I suffered(past tense)depression from age 11, by 15 I tried to end life, thank God I didn't succeed at it. one thing I did, I admitted the problem, went to GNC and asked for vit that will help me have energy & stop feeling down. the person who attended me gave me a great suggestion, and it help. but the best solution I got and honesty can say I no longer have depression is that I started reading the Bible. it was something I really didn't want to go in but I have to admit it has been of great help. you have nothing to loose, you be surprise.

Depression is a difficult thing to deal with, more so than most people think. Natural remedies for depression include following a well-balanced diet, adequate exercise, and sufficient relaxation. Keep yourself busy with your hobbies, friends, books and with some kind of creative work.
