How can you make granulated sugar that has hardened, free flowing again?

A few seconds to a few minutes in a coffee grinder worked well for me.

You could use a spice grinder or a blender or having neither of those handy...small amounts, say a handful or so, could be put into a plastic sandwich baggie and crushed with a rolling pin to beat gently then roll...Sugar used to be sold in solid cone shapes and in Mexican cooking solid cane sugar is still used. Often it was shaved from the cone. Good luck to you...
