What is the song River in Judea about?

In the song  the river that freely flows is an allusion to the salvation found in Jesus Christ and the song uses such parallelism to remind the believer of being washed from sin and thus walking through life in the fullness of hope in Christ.It is not reffering to the Jordan river.
