Why don't humans eat otters??

Why don't we eat sea lions or otters?

As far as otters go, they have been (and may still be) eaten, especially in rural Alaskan areas (sea otters), but it's a musky animal and supposedly not very tasty. It's not legal to kill otters in most U.S. states, so that makes eating them not worth the risk.

Pretty much the same deal with sea lions, without the musk.
