How do I get deep ruts out of my carpeting made by furniture?

I want to move my furniture around but I have deep ruts in the carpet where the legs were.  I can I get rid of them?

The deep ruts made by the furniture on the carpet can be removed by giving off steam, by placing a moist cloth over the carpet and then pressing the cloth using iron box and placing ice pieces for whole night over the carpet and then cleaning with wire brush.
