Many people are bothered by the glue that holds carpet down. Or the smell of paint. There may be poor ventilation that adds to these problems.  Plus the fact that modern buildings do not have windows that can be opened.

A condition influencing office laborers, normally stamped by migraines and respiratory issues, ascribed to less than great or upsetting elements in the working environment, for example, poor ventilation.
