How do you know if eggs are still good?

If you are uncertain, place your eggs in a bowl filled with cool (not cold) water.  If they sink they are o.k.  If they float ther are likely no good.

I put them in a jug of water

if the sink to bottom they are good to eat if they bob to top bin

Put them in water, if they float they're bad, if they sink theyare good.

Check shell for cracks, and/or broken membrane. The membrane is the clear skin that is attached to underside of shell.If any of these appear the egg is bad. Make sure that the yolks are standing upright, not flat or runny.
