I am looking for a work at home type job I can do after I reach 65. I love computers, but the work force looks to be gutted with much younger people who do that kind of work. All I am looking for a a job I can do from my home to make a few exterea dollars. I am not sure that S. S. is going to be enugh to pay all the bills and every thing. My Husbacnd has been selfemployed for years and will not recive any retirement benfits. I am 55 right now and do not have much time or money to spend on going to a expencive school. I would like something where I can study when I have the time to do so.  I would still like to do something with computers is possable , but am willing to try something else. Thank you.

It is impossible to forecast where you will be healthwise and the outlook for the future of the economy. Focus to what you can do today. It is suggested you find employment you enjoy and as time passes will increase in pay however small. Social security is based on how much is earned each year. This is the best advice if you wish to avoid mutual funds or 401K plans. Strive for employment that will place you in a pension plan as well. These are lifetime incomes.
